"A ministry to provide affordable education led by Haitian educators began in 2011 by forming an alliance of four Christian schools on the island of La Gonâve. Over the past 10 years our focus has developed into quality relationships with the goal of supporting leaders with the shared vision of locally-led sustainability".

Wendy Thiessen is the director of PiFò Haiti. She left her full-time "paying" job in 2014 to focus her time with PiFò Haiti (formerly HCS). Wendy has made over 30 trips to Haiti since 2011. She lives with her husband Ken in Burlington, Ontario. They have 2 adult children and a "sassy" French Bulldog named Gwen.

Christine Micules joined PiFò Haiti in 2018 when she visited La Gonâve on a Project Discovery Trip with her church. The life-changing trip instilled a passion in her that motivated her to advocate for the projects and people working with PiFò Haiti.  Christine, a nurse by trade, and her husband Cam have 3 children and also live in Burlington.

Pastor Paul Mevoir, Monal Irame and our amazing project administrator, Emerson Dalmas live in Anse-à-Galets on La Gonâve, Haiti. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization in Haiti. We are so very thankful for all they do and feel blessed to call them friends.
